Sarah Palin's 'Real American Stories' drops LL Cool J after his Twitter objection
The ladies may love cool James but LL Cool J does not love his story being told on the Sarah Palin-hosted "Real American Stories" on FOX News."Real American Stories" is the new show for FOX News that chronicles people who have overcome adversity, hosted by former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Among the people showcased in the first episode is James Todd Smith, otherwise known as rap star and actor LL Cool J. Conservative blog Hot Air even wrote of the episode that liberals "will be shocked to find the alleged Grand Dragon of the tea-party movement making chitchat with a hip-hop legend."
Except there was no actual "chitchatting." When LL Cool J learned of his inclusion in the show, he tweeted, "Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW."
FOX promptly responded, telling Yahoo News, "'Real American Stories' features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith's interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career."
"Fledgling" acting career? Hmmm.
You can watch LL Cool J in the promo for the show below. "Real America Stories" debuts Thursday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET.

Has to be said again, "Fledgling"? I seriously doubt they really know who he is or anything about his vast career.
Classless comments from a classless network parading as news. Next.
LOL, hasn't L.L. Cool J's "fledgling" acting career been longer than Sarah Palin's political career? :-D
If his career is so fledging why would they want to use a two year old interview & air it on Palins debut show?? Fox thought they could get away with something, got caught, and instead of being honest they smear him. Shame on you Fox. Bad Fox.
Fox is just being typically Fox.
I personally like the diversity of Fox News. The other networks come across as too biased.
I'm glad Fox eliminated his interview. It appears to me LL Cool J feels he is too famous to remember his humble roots. I'd rather see an interview of a person appreciative of opportunity.
"I personally like the diversity of Fox News. The other networks come across as too biased."
Umm, this is a joke, right? Fox is the most biased network on television! And maybe LL Cool J would've been fine with Fox using his previous interview on Sarah Palin's new show if they had had the decency to ask him beforehand!
It astonishes me that people actually watch Fox News; it boggles my mind, though, to see that people are actually defending the network.
wow they were straight lowbrow disrespectful of him, too even mention his career as fledgling is fucked, i hope fox news watchers stop watching. its like brainwashing or something
Not only do they refer to his "fledgling acting career", even worse they call him Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith? He is LL Cool J, not Mr. Smith.
I guess from now on they will refer to John Wayne as Marion Morrison and Michael Caine as Maurice Micklewhite.
LL Cool J You silly silly person.
First , if you had seen the promos They do not say anything about an interview by Palin. They say profiles, keyword being PROFILE. You were going to be profiled on a program hosted by Palin and whose theme was ""Remarkable Americans"". And you acted as insulted as I felt. Since I couldn't think of any great contributions you've made to this country. But to be honest. I don't follow your career. Are you remarkable?????
Karma had kissed you. You were in the ranks of powerful celebrities like Oprah, Leno, Letterman and Barbara Walters. Except they had the good sense to appreciate the fact that Ms. Palin gave them the highest rating of their careers. Higher than Obama's appearance on Oprah . Higher than woman attacked by chimp on Oprah, Higher than " you get a free car" on Oprah. Listen Mr J , you didn't have to like Sarah Palin but the smart thing was to let her expose you to millions of folks who only know you as some old rapper turned actor. Mr. LL Cool J you have just created your own" Couric moment." aka how to sabotage your own career.
You may remember when Katie Couric had a "gotcha" moment with Sarah Palin. In the end what it actually got her was a NO RENEWAL contract from CBS. Yes Katie will be losing her anchor chair. Too bad but I hear Anderson Cooper may fit the bill and I think CBS will be getting higher ratings soon after.
You can love Sarah or you can hate Sarah but the one thing America can't do is ignore her. Which is why CBS was none to happy about Sarah listing you as one of her subject. Check the Neilson ratings. While NCSI/LA is a highly rated show week after week. Its numbers are only have of what its competitor on Fox gets. Yes , Hannity has twice the audience of your show.
It took Fox 2 minutes to drop you from the program. How long will you have to wait to have a chance for like this to come along again.
