'Real Housewives of D.C.' to feature the White House party crashers

Infamous White House party crashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi caused a national security scare and cost presidential Social Secretary Desiree Rogers her job.

So what is their reward -- er - punishment? A role on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of D.C." of course.

According to The Daily Beast, the couple will definitely be a part of the ever-growing "Real Housewives" franchise. The Daily Beast also reports that the Salahis had the Bravo cameras tagging along with them when they showed up uninvited to the White House, which Bravo had previously denied. The couple has also reportedly shot all 12 episodes of the premiere season, which is scheduled to premiere in July.

Meanwhile, the couple is working on a tell-all book which will "set the record straight" about their party-crashing adventure.

On the bright side, if their plum spots on the Bravo reality series spawn more of these "SNL" parodies, then we're down.
