'Precious'' Gabourey Sidibe joins Showtime's 'Big C'
Let the job offers roll in for Gabourey Sidibe.
The breakout star of "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" has landed her first TV role as a recurring guest star on Showtime's upcoming series "The Big C."
The show centers on Cathy (Laura Linney) a suburban housewife and teacher diagnosed with terminal cancer. Sidibe will play a smart-mouthed student in Cathy's class. Oliver Platt stars as Cathy's husband.
"The Big C" will begin production in May for a late summer premiere.
Sidibe may not have won the Oscar Sunday night (March 7) but she's won fans for her powerful performance and charismatic personality. Her presence was a highlight in Zap2it's Best & Worst moments of Oscars 2010.

I love gabby, people are so stupid, when they talk about her, shes very talented and i am so proud of her. But, i hope she gets roles, despite what hollywodd feels or thinks about her. its hard enough for black women to find roles and being overweight may make it more diffcult for her, but God bless her and i hope she tones down the ego and will be able to get work.

She is the ugliest and fattest actress on the face of the earth. Hollywood should not hire her for any type of acting roles and she should be regulated to working in a clerical job in civil service where all the unattractive people are.
