Oscars 2011 date set
The Oscars still seem fresh in our minds, but the Academy has already set the date for next year.The 83rd Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011. The ceremony will be telecast live from the historic Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on ABC.
Here's a breakdown of the Oscars schedule moving towards the 83rd annual ceremony:
2010
Saturday, Nov. 13 Governors Awards presentation
Wednesday, Dec. 1: Official Screen Credits forms due
Monday, Dec. 27: Nominations ballots mailed
2011
Friday, Jan. 14: Nominations polls close 5:00 p.m., PT
Tuesday, Jan. 25: Nominations announced 5:30 a.m., PT, Samuel Goldwyn Theater
Wednesday, Feb. 2: Final ballots mailed
Monday, Feb. 7: Nominees Luncheon
Saturday, Feb. 12.: Scientific and Technical Awards presentation
Tuesday, Feb. 22: Final polls close 5:00 p.m., PT
Sunday, Feb. 27: 83rd Annual Academy Awards presentation
