No 'Scrubs'? Zach Braff breaks the news on Facebook
Bad news, "Scrubs" fans. Zach Braff, the former star and current executive producer of the medical sitcom, has announced that the show "didn't work" via his Facebook page.
Braff isn't the only Facebooker under the impression that the current ninth season is "Scrubs"' last. The social networking site's official Scrubs profile has featured a series of posts over the last few weeks calling last Wednesday's (March 17) episode the "series finale."
"You know what we're thankful for? The best fans a show could ask for," noted a status update posted before the finale. "Will you be there tonight to help us close this chapter?"
According to Entertainment Weekly, ABC hasn't made a final decision on the fate of "Scrubs." Judging by the ratings drop following the exit of favorite characters JD (Braff) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) this season, we're guessing we've seen the last of Sacred Heart.

Scrubs used to be one of my FAVORITE shows. But the past few years they've just ran out of material. And this season was just terrible. The should have ended the series with last years finale. It would have been a perfect way to end the series.
It's about time!!! This show was dead after it's 2nd year. ENOUGH already ... flatline ... finally.
As much as I hated to see it go I hated to see them drag it out with a b-team cast.
I gave up on this half way through the season. Just couldn't handle it.
I would like to have a further connection with you, could you tell me your connections?
season 1-6 were amazing.season 7 and 8 were solid entertaining tv.season 9... well its just no scrubs
I thought the main characters and their overdone quirks were getting annoying. Could JD have acted more gay? I actually enjoyed the new cast and thought they were getting stronger as the season went on.
That's really too bad. The "new" series took a while to find its feet, but I think it's hitting its stride now and probably deserves a better end than it got.
I'll miss it. 8-(
I knew it. Even called it way back during the last 'true' series finale.
Sad, because I agree that it was starting to find its stride. Yes, it seemed that JD DID get *gayer*, ignoring almost all the character growth.
But when this Scrubs was put beside the undeniable success of the new comedies, the contrast couldn't be more definitive.
For what it's worth, it was a good effort.
I loved the original Scrubs and liked the new one. It is too bad it is over, but it was an innovative and throughly entertaining show.
Looking forward to whatever Zach Braff does next!
9th season wasnt enough scrubs without zach braff isnt scrubs.
but i loved the other seasons with they could of kept them coming.
