Kate Hudson joins 'Borrowed' romance
Kate Hudson better keep an eye on her man on the big screen. The Oscar-nominated actress is in final negotiations to co-star in "Something Borrowed," based on the chick lit romance by Emily Giffin, says Variety. She'll join the already cast John Krasinski, Colin Egglesfield and Ginnifer Goodwin.
Hudson will play Darcy, the good-looking, fun and popular best friend to attorney Rachel (Goodwin) and fiancee to the equally good-looking Dex (Egglesfield). Unbeknownst to Darcy, Rachel gets a bit too wasted on her 30th birthday and ends up sleeping with Dex. Krasinski will play another of Rachel's friends.
The character of Darcy also appears in the novel's sequel, "Something Blue." There's no word yet if Hudson will sign on for a two-film deal.
Production begins in April.
Hudson was last seen in "Bride Wars," the musical "Nine" and in the Sundance drama "The Killer Inside Me."
