Jaclyn Smith remembers fellow 'Angel' Farrah Fawcett
Jaclyn Smith knows Heaven isn't missing an Angel, even if she is.Smith and Cheryl Ladd will be on hand to accept the Pop Culture Award for their classic detective series "Charlie's Angels" at the 8th Annual TV Land Awards, to be televised by the nostalgia-oriented cable channel Sunday, Apr. 25. As the ceremony gets closer, Smith is feeling the absence of original co-star Farrah Fawcett, who died last June after a very public battle with cancer.
"I can't imagine her not being here," Smith tells Zap2it, "because she was so full of life and so funny. That's what I think people miss about Farrah; she was really funny, and such an interesting person, always full of surprises and always doing things her own way. It doesn't seem right that she wouldn't be on that stage with us. Let's face it, she was a true angel, bigger than life.
"To be there without her will be hard," Smith adds, "and to think of what she went through is hard. I was there through a lot of it, and I saw her bravery and her fight. You can't imagine how hard she fought."
Smith -- who also lost her mother last summer ("the hardest thing I've ever gone through") -- actually will be back on the home screen much sooner. She's featured in tonight's (Wednesday, March 31) episode of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" -- in a part she prefers to leave a mystery.
"It was really challenging, and it was fun." Smith says. "I hadn't really done episodic television in a while, so I had to go toward the fear and get out there and do it. It was good to get back on a set. Once you get there, you feel so at home. You're surrounded by artists ... and boy, Mariska and Chris (Hargitay and Meloni, the show's stars). They've got it down."

You hear many people say that they are a stars biggest fan but I TRULY was Farrah;s biggest fan. What an INCREDIBLY gracious woman Jaclyn Smith is. When I think of Farrah, I will now always think of Jaclyn. Rest in eternal peace sweet Angel.
It is very hard not to think of Jaclyn when you think of Farrah. And you have to think about Kate and Cheryl too.
Jaclyn Smith is such a special lady. She has a way of being down to earth and yet a star! I'm sure she misses Farrah very much. All the world that saw these women on TV will always remember Farrah! Thanks Jaclyn for sharing your thoughts about your friend!
I;m so sorry that you are losing the special people in your life jaclyn. I was one of you special angle i did not no charlie but when i saw dynasty the three times I found out that was charlie i was sooooooooo happy that was charlie was blake He was a wounderful person with grace that you do not see anymore i hate to hear charlie died I just wish you did the reuion of charlie angles that would be great for people that really enjoed the 80 shows.
I think it's great. She should get her acknowledgment. But I'm surprised TV Land still does these awards. Do they even still show classic TV? They seem to be moving out of that into more recent fare and original series these days. I expect a name change any day.
