'Glee' tour adds dates in L.A., New York
The tour, which will feature cast members performing some of the best-known songs from the show, hasn't added any new cities, but it has tacked on extra shows in Los Angeles and New York. The new dates are a response to what "Glee" producer 20th Century Fox TV calls "overwhelming" demand for tickets.
The new shows are a matinee and an evening performance on May 22 in Los Angeles and a May 29 matinee and May 30 evening show in New York.
"We are so excited to announce that we are adding more concerts in L.A. and New York," "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy says. "The enthusiasm of the fans during the pre-sale has been incredibly gratifying and beyond anyone's expectations. This series is a labor of love for all of us, and I am thrilled to say that we are putting together a show that will wow everyone from the most jaded concert-goer to the most passionate Gleek."
Tickets for the tour's May 15 kickoff in Phoenix went on sale Friday (March 12). Tickets for the Los Angeles, Chicago and New York shows will be available Saturday (March 13); you can get details at the "Glee" tour site.
