'Glee' stage adaptation in the works

Glee-Fox-Cast-320.jpg"Glee" fanatics, brace yourself....

A stage adaptation of the uber-popular, celeb-filled FOX show might be coming to a stage near you, according to Variety. No, we're not talking about the the "Glee" live concert tour that hits the road this May -- but a stage adaptation, Broadway-style.

Don't do your happy dance just yet though. The project is still in the initial stages of development, and nothing has been finalized. Turner licensing company Music Theater Intl. is still in talks with "Glee's" creators and producers about the proposed musical adaptation.

Still, this news puts a little extra glee in our Friday.

There is such a thing as over-doing it. Too far. Too far!

The appeal in the show is the cast, so I am not sure how well a musical version would be with a different cast.

This has been denied by producers, btw. I agree with the TJ, the reason the show works is because of the cast. I just can't see a stage adaptation working.
