'Dr. Horrible' star Felicia Day to hunt werewolves
Felicia Day has gone from chasing vampires to hunting werewolves.The "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" star will play the lead in the Syfy Saturday original movie "Red," an adult reimagining of the Little Red Riding Hood tale, Syfy announced Monday (March 8)
In the telefilm, Red (Day) reveals to her fiancee just what he's getting into if he marries into her family: A family of werewolf hunters. When he gets bitten by a werewolf and therefore becomes their target, Red has to step in and try to save him.
"Stargate Atlantis'" Kavan Smith and "Watchment's" Stephen McHattie also star. "Red" is the latest in a series of Syfy's updated fairy tales. "Beauty and the Beasts: A Dark Tale" starring Estella Warren premiered on Feb. 27. "Aladdin," "Sinbad the Sailor," "Hansel and Gretel" and other tales to be announced will also get the Syfy treatment.
Day is known for playing Penny in Joss Whedon's web series "Dr. Horrible," which also co-starred Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion. She's worked with Whedon before, as potential slayer Vi in the final season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
She currently stars in the web series "The Guild," which she created and writes, and recently appeared in an episode of "Lie to Me" and on Whedon's short-lived "Dollhouse."

Sounds good to me. I'll watch Felicia Day in anything.
Yay Felicia! She's so very talented, and I don't understand why she doesn't get many major roles or offered a pilot. She can do both comedy and drama - a rare combination. She's also smart, with a degree in mathematics from Rice. Maybe that's the problem -- Hollywood seems to like their actresses dumb.
