The Doctor is coming! The Doctor is coming!
BBC America released the latest trailer for the new season of "Doctor Who," which kicks off on Saturday, April 17.
Starring Matt Smith as the 11th incarnation of the Timelord and Karen Gillan as his companion Amy Pond, the new "Doctor Who" looks to have just as much creepy action as before. Those angels certainly get us.

Saw this the other night when watching rerun of "Blink". Freaked out. I'm seriously excited and ready to give Matt Smith a chance. :)
I love the voice-over. I also like the fact that the Doctor addresses the TARDIS, asking "What have you got for me this time?", once again reminding us that the TARDIS is a living thing, sometimes taking the Doctor where he needs to go. I'm also intrigued as to who or what reaches down to pick up the white mask.
I can't wait for it to begin. Plus two more of the classic series villains returning in series 5 with the Sea Devils and the Silurians. New Tardis interior, plus the first time ever we see the companion story backwards with RiverSong.

It may be referred to (mistakenly) as "series 5", but it's actually Season 31 of "Doctor Who"... it will be the 31st season to air on TV.

Ah but for marketing purposes, it's Series 5. Maybe. Last we heard (and this is no joke) the BBC was talking about calling it Season 1 again to designate a new era. Huge mistake if they do that.
Anyone who thinks Doctor Who has been seen since Survival is a complete and utter moron. Glad to see it's coming back for a 27th season (emphasis on "27th")
It should be SEASON 31. Forget all these restarting numbers ideas. It's season 31.
Fans should override the BBC and just constantly call them by the continued season names.
