'Dancing With the Stars': Shannen Doherty first star EVER to decline 'Jimmy Kimmel'
"[Shannen Doherty's] drowning her sorrows at the Peach Pit."Jimmy Kimmel joked to his audience after finding out that the "Dancing With the Stars" castoff was the first contestant in the history of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to decline an invite on his show.
According to Kimmel, contestants are always invited to be a guest on his show after they get the boot from America. However, after Shannen Doherty was the first star to get sent packing Tuesday (March 30) night, she told Kimmel's show no thanks.
Kimmel conceded that Macy Gray was so upset that she couldn't come out of the bathroom, but at least she showed up. Doherty, on the other hand, elected not to come at all.
When Kimmel broke the history-making news to the audience, they erupted in boos. Kimmel added, "I'm glad I kicked her off," which drew cheers. "It looks like America has finally exacted its revenge on Brenda, and she in turn is exacting it on me."
Then, perhaps as a filler for Doherty's scheduled spot, Kimmel did a "BruNo or Yes?" segment, asking the audience to guess whether judge Bruno Toniolo actually said the wacky-sounding statement or not. The judge himself graced the stage (if only for moments) at the end of the segment.
Hey, at least someone from "DWTS" decided to show up.

I don't judge her for not wanting to do Kimmel. I'm sure she was very upset and didn't want to cry on air.
This elimination was so strange. Yes, she had a bad girl image, but that was like 20 years ago! Are people really still thinking of that? And, even if they were, wouldn't the story of her dad soften that perspective and humanize her? I don't get it.
Perhaps worst of all, Shannon had potential, while several others seem to have no hope of ever even developing rhythm. This was a total downer for me.
Who voted for Kate and that soap guy? It's obvious that women make up the vast majority of the voters and Pam Anderson has never been too popular with that demographic, but, give me a break. Get that octomom outta there before she busts her tummy tuck stitches!
Shannen DID show up for the Good Morning America segment on Wednesday. She said she was tired, but she seemed in a little better spirits last night. She talked about Mark's knee injury, and she didn't want him to hurt himself if they had continued on the show. I don't blame her for skipping Kimmel's show last night. I think she was too upset because she was doing it for her father who had suffered a stroke. She was probably more sad for her father than she was angry, IMO.
I think it was ridiculous that Shannen was the first to go. I will no longer watch, as she was the only one I cared to see on this season. So she declined Jimmy Kimmel. Not a big deal to me. Give the girl a break. Her father just had stroke and she did this show for him. I still love Shannen and wish her the best.
Kate will never make a dancer, Tony is right to want to quit.
Shannen did a good job on her jive.
Ballroom is very difficult as I taught it a while.
Niecy is smart to make a connection with a fan base.

I totally agree with SFrank. This is a popularity contest. I think it should be more like American Idol in that the first few to leave are sent home by the judges and then the public can vote. Shannon may not be a very popular person due to past Diva behavior but she dances much better than Kate, Buzz or Aidan. For that matter so does Pamela.
How in the mofo did she get voted off before Kate G?
Her teeth are very scary looking, so America gots cared of her fug face!
Bitter much, Kimmel? I was so surprised she was voted off before Kate. Shannen at least had potential-Kate was a train wreck.
