'Dancing With the Stars': Shannen Doherty does a Viennese waltz for her dad
We didn't know that Brenda Walsh ... er, Shannen Doherty ... was afraid of anything, but turns out she's got such a fear of performing live that it can cause her to break out in hives.
Actually, considering we saw a TV critic make her cry during a press junket once, this doesn't completely surprise us.
And her initial turn on the "Dancing With the Stars" floor -- performing a Viennese waltz with partner Mark Ballas -- was definitely a nervous one. But she still made the judges -- straight "6"s -- and her dad (semi)proud.
Bruno Tonioli praised her for tackling such "difficult" choreography her first week out, although he also said she she was swinging around her arms "like a primate." Meanwhile Carrie Ann Inaba saw definite potential.
"I see something," Inaba said. "It's coming."

Not into DWTS, but am curious as to why your headline was, in essence, Shannon dancing for her dad, yet you failed to explain why. Finding out why is the only reason I read the article and was quite disappointed. Come on! Did you take Journalism 101?
Ms. Doherty has commented on her longtime battle w/ anxiety/ stage fright and has gained strength to do this show from watching her father's brave recovery from a stroke.
