'Dancing With the Stars' 2010 pairings: Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani and more
On the heels of the "Dancing With the Stars" lineup announcement Monday night (March 1), ABC has revealed which pros will pair up with the celebs.The pros have the challenge of bringing the best out of their partners. Chemistry, however, is less easily controlled. As far as we can tell, there aren't any oddball pairings.
Let's see how the stars fared in reverse alphabetical order:
- Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska
- Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough
- Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower
- Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke
- Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel
- Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya
- Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani
- Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas
- Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
- Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood (in his debut)
- Buzz Aldrin and Ashly Costa (formerly DelGrosso)
These 11 pairs will get hoofing on the two-hour season premiere on Monday, March 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Based on these pairings (and knowing nothing about the new boy), I'd pick Derek and Nicole to win the mirror ball trophy.
Evan will win. He's coming off the Olympic gold and the Olympians (especially figure skaters) always win. I'll be pulling for Ochocino though.
If the voting were based soley on DANCING talent, then Evan should win or possibly Nicole Scherzinger. However, Evan will have the advantage since he just won his gold medal a couple of weeks ago, and Nicole is not as well known to the older demographic. Whatever happens, I hope that Kate Gosselin and Jake Pavelka are the first ones voted out. They are barely "stars" to begin with, just reality show people who want to extend their 15 minutes of fame. Chad Ochocinco should be a blast on this show! :-)
Nicole clearly has an edge/advantage for she does a lot of dancing in Pussycat dolls.

careful male audience..Pamela Anderson is in the house...interesting for costume makers how they will dress pamela anderson...must use lots of double sided tapes to hold those b**bies in place...

I hope Kate is voted off first. Why isn't she home with her kids? She will probably quit when she finds out how much work it is. Or she'll get Jon to do it for her.
Need to see how they dance, but my favs are Jake, Aiden, & Evan. and anyone who dances with Derek. He's such a doll. wish his sister would come back.
Help me out here....had Derek EVER had a bad partner? Is it written in his contract or something?
