'Cougar Town' welcomes Sheryl Crow

Singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow guest-stars on "Cougar Town" this week, and from the looks of the clip below, she gets more to do than in her last TV guest appearance.

You might remember that one: In last May's "30 Rock" finale, she chirped "Alloo!" in a vaguely European accent, shunned former classmate Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) and participated in the "Kidney Now!" benefit for Jack's (Alec Baldwin) dad.

Which was all well and good, but on "Cougar Town" she'll be playing someone other than herself -- and over three episodes. She makes her first appearance Wednesday (March 24) as Sara, a wine sales rep who has a spark with Grayson (Josh Hopkins). Said spark comes despite Ellie's (Christa Miller) efforts to warn her of Grayson's young-girl-fancying ways.
