Conan O'Brien live: Tickets (maybe) on sale

conan-obrien-twitter.jpgUPDATE: The live tour is confirmed, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Showbiz 411. Dates are still being confirmed, but O'Brien's first date is likely to be in mid-April somewhere on the West Coast.

Dates in Los Angeles and New York are also likely -- although a Phoenix show might not happen now after Friday's Ticketmaster snafu.

Andy Richter is likely to join O'Brien on the road. It's not certain yet whether Max Weinberg or other members of O'Brien's "Late Night"/"Tonight Show" band will join them.

Original post is below.

Conan O'Brien's stage show may be getting close to reality -- so close, in fact, that tickets were briefly available Friday.

That's according to TMZ, which notes that Ticketmaster had a listing for Conan O'Brien performing live at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix on April 30. (Incidentally, that's also the venue for the first stop on "Glee's" four-city tour in May.)

The listing has since come down, but the theater does tell the site that the event is in the works. What's missing at the moment is any actual acknowledgment from O'Brien's camp that he is, in fact, hitting the road.

Word that the ousted "Tonight Show" host would be going on tour surfaced a couple weeks ago. It would be a way both to get around the clause of his exit deal with NBC that keeps him off television until September and to keep his comedy skills in use in front of an actual audience, not just his half-million-and-counting Twitter followers.

If he could make Canada part of the tour I would get tickets faster than you can say La Bamba.

Jay is on top again.
Poor Coco's bruised ego can go cry in his bag of money.

Hey, Anonymous... stay anonymous.

Im soooo gettin tickets if he is even remotely close to me.

If he ever comes within relative driving distance of Michigan, I'm so there.

why Jay Leno's zealots keep looking for a fight? They've got their hero's back and so far numbers are on their side (it won't last, but let them enjoy them till they can) so what do they want? No ammount of zealotry will ever make some of COCO's talent rub on their champion

Stef, stop complaining just because Leno can actually beat Letterman in ratings (something Conan RARELY ever did). I like Conan, but it's people like you that make me ashamed to admit it since you like to ignore the fact that Conan got terrible ratings (and it's people like you who ignore that he QUIT, NBC was willing to let him stay on as host of The Tonight Show).

I really hope this deal goes through. I would love to see Conan live. He is so talented and funny. Absolutely love Conan!

Silly and immature humor.
He needs more sophisticated writers if he ever wants to top anyone.

All the others that dumped on Jay are just bitter and jealous of his ratings.
Jay is classy and a superior comic.

I hope CoCo keeps the bears and 'stache. He looks SOOOO hot with them.
