'Captain America' may step up with Channing Tatum, Keira Knightley
Who else can "Captain America" lure into its casting offices?Channing Tatum -- star of "Step Up," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and "Dear John" -- is the next actor who's being considered to play the patriotic Marvel Comics superhero, reports THR's Heat Vision blog.
He joins the superhero wannabe ranks of Mike Vogel ("She's Out of My League"), Garret Hedlund ("Tron Legacy"), Chris Evans ("Fantastic Four") and Chace Crawford ("Gossip Girl") to play the good Captain.
The trade also reports that "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Keira Knightley met with the studio to possibly play his love interest, the appropriately named Betsy Ross.

Casting Keira is about as exciting as watching paint dry with an annoying voice.

Capt. Awesome from Chuck is the only choice that should even be considered for Capt. America. Tatum makes Keanu Reeves look like Dustin Hoffman as an actor.
Ryan McPartlin or Jensen Ackles should play the role of Captain America.
Are these the casting choices for Steve Rogers before he becomes Captain America? Aside from Channing's pole dancing classes, none of these guys are peak human specimens. Steve Rogers is supposed to be on par w/ Tony Stark/Iron Man (RDJ), Bruce Banner/Hulk(ENorton), and Nick Fury(SJackson), not "Step Up and Bring It On Again" I wouldn't follow these guys into a club, much less WWII.

Well, considering the official list of actors that has been announced - Garrett Hedlund is the only one able to show us a decent peformance under the blue-red-white uniform. He is a pretty good actor. By the way, I cannot imagine any other actor as capable as him to play this part.
