'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick, Molly Malaney on the wedding, 'American Idol's' Jason Castro
Jason and Molly Mesnick (nee Malaney) were married Saturday, Feb. 27. Find out all the wonderful details of their big day.The actual broadcast of the wedding airs Monday, March 8 on ABC at 8 p.m., but Mr. and Mrs. Mesnick are ready to dish about all the beautiful moments leading up to the "I dos."
On the rain on their wedding day
Molly: It started raining as I was saying my vows. Jason and I just looked at each other and laughed.
Jason: It was kind of a combination of things ... Ty ran down the aisle literally a minute before Molly walked down the aisle. I had to talk him, I had a great moment with Ty and then literally 30 seconds later Molly appeared on the stairs and I started crying.
On planning a wedding around ABC
Molly: I had absolutely 100% control over every singel detail that had to do with the wedding ... Jason and I collaborated, obviously. [laughs] We had the power to make this any sort of wedding we wanted it.
Jason: The only little quirk was Ty. He was a huge part of it, but he's not a televised part of it. We worked around that without a problem.
On staying strong as a couple after "The Bachelor"
Molly: Honestly, I think a lot of it was the fact that we stayed away from Hollywood and went right back to our normal lives. We just focused on being a normal couple.
Jason: If you look at people who have been on the show recently ... Jake is goign to do "Dancing with the Stars" and more power to them if they want to do that stuff ... but being [in Seattle] with Ty is what we really wanted to be doing.
On the honeymoon plans
Jason: We leave [for South Africa] in a week and we're going to be there for two weeks. We want something that's part relaxing, part really fun and adventurous. We're going to hang out on the beaches of South Africa and head into the jungle and see some wildlife.
On how Ty handled all the excitement
Jason: Ty is doing awesome ... as of like a week and a half ago, Ty teacher came up to me and said Ty was talking about weddings and he was saying he definitely wants to live with a girl but he doesn't want to get married when he grows up ... but then after the wedding he was like, "Daddy, now I want to get married."
On performer Jason Castro of "American Idol"
Molly: I always knew when I walked down the aisle, I didn't want to walk down to the typical wedding march song. I wanted to do something more modern. Jason and I both love the version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that Jason Castro sang on "American Idol." The person who did it originally has passed away ... so it was a very easy choice to see if [Jason Castro] would do this favor for us. He was absolutely phenomenal, blew us away.
Jason: He was a really good guy.
How's married life so far?
Molly: I'm the happiest I have ever been. I look at Jason differently. Married life is the best feeling in the world and I wish it for everyone.
Jason: Awww, that's sweet, babe.
Any plans for kids in the future?
Molly: In the future, but not the near future. We want to take a couple years and slow down and get back to a sense of normal. Then we'll think about expanding our family.
Tune into ABC Monday, March 8 at 8 p.m. for a telecast of the bachelor/bachelorette parties, the wedding planning and the ceremony itself.

Love Jason Castro.
Life goes on! I'm so happy for them and Melissa is happily married too. Wish them all the best.
gag
So happy for them. Just confirms what I thought all along, that Jason and Molly wanted only each other and not the hollywood lifestyle.
Does anyone ever wonder - Melissa and Jason were together and we all know something was wrong - How odd that months later Melissa marries the ex boyfriend who dumped her right before the show... I think she was thinking of him all along and that's when Jason realized he made a mistake. It was HER not him - but it all worked out for the best
What money won't do for a couple these days. ABC paid them off bigtime!
If it's love it will last. If love only lasts for a little while It's still better to have loved someone than to never have loved at all.
jason & molly looks perfect together
It was a ferrytail wedding. I am sure the whole world watched it ... I know all of PEI was...
I just wondered where Jasons' son was at this wedding? I don't think that he was even there. Thats' terriable. He was old enough to be part of this beginning of his dads' new life. It just made me really upset that they wouldn't include him at the wedding. Even though there was alot of chemistry at this wedding ceremony, i liked Ryan and Tristas' wedding ceremony alot better.
