Andy Richter: Not a fan of NBC

Former "Tonight Show" sidekick Andy Richter is technically still an NBC employee, but he's not toeing the company line.

Richter was a guest host on "Live with Regis and Kelly" Tuesday (March 9), and Kelly Ripa wasted no time in asking him about the "hullaballoo" surrounding Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show" exit.

"I can actually be on TV," he joked. "Conan can't. In fact, I'm not even sure I can say his name. I may be getting him in trouble for even saying his name."

Richter, who's still under contract with NBC, also talked about how the show's cancellation has affected its staff -- he said O'Brien has dipped into his own pocket to help them out -- and was surprisingly honest when Ripa asked if he had any hard feelings.

"Yes. Yes, I do. Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't I?" he said. "I mean, my God, I'd be some sort of self-hater."

Richter also said that the rumored live tour featuring O'Brien and himself is a "distinct possibility." The full segment is below.
