'American Idol's' Todrick Hall would love to be the next cast member on 'Glee'
First it was "American Idol" for Todrick Hall. Now he has his sights set
on "Glee."On going out the week he does well:
I feel like I should've done that a couple weeks earlier. As you can tell, I'm an African-American male. A lot of people were telling me to sing Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder but that's not the kind of music I want to sing. I sadly feel that if I had just sang the cookie-cutter songs that people wanted me to do, if I had just been a normal guy, I feel like I would've done better. But I'm happy I stayed true to myself.
On his "Wizard of Oz" scandal:
I'm so glad I can about that now. I do want everybody to know I'm not a scam artist, I'm a nice person. I'm just an ambitious kid who got wrapped up with a producer who didn't know what he was doing and I allowed my name to be attached to that. I think the show is going to happen again and we'll be able to fix that. Just for the record, I was the writer, director and choreographer for that show, I was not the producer. I never dealt with any money side of the show.
On the contradictory judges' comments:
If Lady Gaga was on "Idol," they wouldn't say good things about her. They want you to be out of the box and tell you to change, but then they tell you you're changing too much. You have to find the line of when it is changing too much and when it is being cookie-cutter and karaoke, which sometimes they still like.
On what he was going to do for the Rolling Stones next week:
I was going to sing "I Can't Get No Satisfaction." I was going to dance for the first time too. Ellen said last week, "I think you should dance," so I was going to be the first contestant to do a dance break, like Crystal does with her mouth harp.
On what's next for him:
I'm being my own personal campaign manager to get myself on "Glee." I would be perfect for that show, so I'm telling everyone that I would love, love, love to be the next cast member on "Glee." That's why I came on "American Idol," to take this platform and do something else with it ... Ellen is helping me promote it, I'm going to be on "Ellen" next week. I wouldn't be pursuing it if I didn't think I could do it. I just think that anything's possible now.
Final thoughts:
I appreciate everything that everyone has done for me, all the fans voting for me. Everybody, whenever you hear something about "Glee," mention my name and help me get on the show or just get an audition. I think I'll do "American Idol" and FOX proud if I get to be on there.

This blurb doesn't even include the clip from the call where Todrick talks about how he'd be so awesome compared to the rest of the Glee cast, because look, "One guy's even in a wheelchair." Does he really think prejudiced comments about wheelchair users are going to endear him to the show's producers?
I was kind of pulling for him after his "Somebody to Love," but now, ew.
Didn't like him during his stint on Idol, thought his "Somebody to Love" was alright, despite completely loving the original and the Glee version, and after reading the other stuff from your comment, Joy, now I absolutely cannot stand him. Considering Artie is my favorite character, I agree with you 100%. The show is about a glee club of misfits and underdogs, and he looks a bit too douchey to mesh well with the cast. No sale for me.
This year's Idol is soooooo boooooring! Other than maybe 3 people the rest are not much to listen to. I've fallen asleep twice now trying to watch the show and I have never missed a season. Such a let down compared to last season.
Todrick Hall is a con artist that isn’t man enough to sac up and own his mistakes without using the race card. First he whines about AI and not wanting to do “stereotypical black guy songsâ€, and then claims he wants to play “the typical black guy†on Glee. I also saw where he’s blaming his broadway experience for not getting more votes….it must be nice to have an excuse for everything, justy like every other opportunistic liar con artist!!! HE’S A PATHETIC EMBARASSMENT, GOOD RIDDANCE! The possiblility he might whine his loser @ss onto “GLEE†is appalling! so is the fact he was chose to be on this show in the first place, He was not undiscovered!!! His parting words were VERY telling, “I just wanted to prove I was more than a dancer†? So if this was a secondary consideration and not your big dream what were you doing there, and how convenient that as you’re voted off your new dream becomes to get on “Gleeâ€. Love that you already had your “I wanna be on Glee†bs ready to feed Ellen in hopes of extending your ill gotten 15 minutes into more than it ever should have been. You should be ashamed of yourself! I don’t care what happens from here, you’ve shown your true character and I won’t endorse ANY show or production that finds it wise to be associated with your low standards of morale conduct, NOT NOW, NOT EVER! ;0) Note to FOX, start filtering AI losers onto your other FOX shows and I'll stop watching them as well ;)
If the guy playing Artie was not in a wheelchair, he would dance all over him. No. Todrick Hall should never be on Glee. If I had known this non-news story before church, I would have had something else to pray never happens. To light a vigil candle to. No. Just no.
OMG Drei, I keep bumping into you in all the old familiar places *giggles* Todrick must be stopped!
yeah dont like him as well..he should not be on glee
