'American Idol's' Katharine McPhee cast in NBC pilot

Former "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee is taking a bigger step into the acting world with a role in an NBC pilot.McPhee will star in a comedy called "The Pink House," a show about two guys in their 20s who move to Los Angeles and end up renting a house (three guesses what color it is) on the beach. McPhee will play their neighbor, a fellow L.A. newcomer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The two lead roles haven't been cast yet.
Kenny Schwartz and Rick Wiener ("Two Guys and a Girl," "American Dad") created the show.
"The Pink House" would be the first full-time series role for McPhee, who guested on "CSI: NY" last season and will appear on NBC's "Community" on March 11 (she also played herself on an episode of "Ugly Betty"). She also co-starred in the feature film "The House Bunny."
McPhee's latest album, "Unbroken," debuted at No. 27 on the Billboard album charts in January.

Wow, it seems Kellie is the only girl doing well from that season. Or her and Chris. The rest just went downhill fast, lol.
I like that picture. Katharine looks much, much better as a brunette.
Kellie pickler was from that season, so i wouldn't really agree with the statement of her being the only girl doing well, but i am definetely looking foward to whether this gets picked up or not

Great to see McPhee getting opportunities. I don't get why people can't see what the entertainment industry sees in her. She is a great all around talent. Hope she goes far with her singing and acting.
This chick is even more bland than another CSI spinoff.
