'American Idol' Results: Paige Miles says goodbye, Top 10 tour line-up is set

paige-tim-idol.jpg"American Idol" traditionally sends their Top 10 contestants out on tour when the season ends, so Wednesday's (March 24) results show, which established that Top 10 was a milestone in the "Idol" journey.

Ryan Seacrest sent Tim Urban and Paige Miles to the bottom three early in the show, which was no surprise.  Both singers were in the bottom three last week as well, and their performances on Tuesday night (March 23) left a lot to be desired (to put it mildly).

Miley Cyrus  proved herself worthy of her mentor title with a performance of "When I Look at You," the song from her upcoming movie, "The Last Song." Say what you will about Miley's music, clothes, or twitter abandonment, the girl knows how to rock a stage and connect with an audience (even if her audience is sitting at home watching on TV).

Though her performance of "Big Girl's Don't Cry" wasn't phenomenal, Katie's turn in the bottom three was less expected, especially because Kara loved the performance. Fortunately, Katie only had to worry about going home for less than a minute - Ryan sent her back to safety almost immediately.

Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato, the latest in a series of Jonas love connections to come out of the Disney machine, took the stage next to perform their new single "Make a Wave." Jonas was one of the guest judges during Tim's audition in Dallas.

After performing, Joe took a moment to wave to Tim, who was sitting in the bottom three stools. "How's it going, Tim? I... guess it's not going so well right now."

After the commercial break, things got a little better for Tim, when Paige was eliminated. Before she even "sang for her life," as Ryan said, Simon told her that she wouldn't be getting the judges save. "It's just not working," he said, but he encouraged her to go back to her roots and try to be more like she was when they began the audition process.

To her credit, Paige's performance of "All Right Now" -- while not fantastic -- was much better than her version of "Against All Odds" from Tuesday night.

So Paige got eliminated and it was expected, had a terrible performance yesterday but sad because overall she's done much better than others like ….Andrew and Tim. But now that's it's all over we can all agree that her eye are totally fake right? Get more opinions and polls about your favorite Idols at Baduku. http://www.baduku.com/americanidol9

I honestly think that Tim should've gone home because I think Paige could do better than him anyways. Besides, I hate Tim

It wasn't surprising that Paige was eliminated after last night's performance. The top 10 is underwhelming, and I don't think many people will be buying tickets for the tour. I think a lot of people were surprised that Andrew was NOT in the bottom 3. He had one good performance with 'Straight Up', but has been going downhill since Hollywood week. I actually think Tim was better than him last night!

And a special thanks [or in the latin F-U] to zap2it for throwing the results into the damned title before the show has even aired on the west coast. Idiots. Oh well, less time loading my browser with one less link saved.

Although Paige's performance was bad, I believe Tim should have went home before Paige. Can't stand hearing him sing and do not think he deserved a spot on the tour

Hopefully, Tim will go home next week. He makes Sanjaya look competent.

Tim should have been elimated.
He just isn't that good. Paige has a lot more talent.

Neither Paige nor Tim are that great. It didn't matter which one of them went home. But I'm glad Paige did. Next it should be Tim's (or Andrew's) turn.

Why is Andrew still on the show??? Was anyone else expecting him to be bottom three? I certainly was. I think Paige, though it wasn't so hot, did a better job then him!

Come on Carina. Raise your musical standards. Miley's performance was awful. If she had been a contestant, the judges would've destroyed her. She sounded like a wailing cat. She didn't hit a single high note sucessfully. And then Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato came out and sucked as much as Miley did. What happened to having talented performers and mentors? Idol is falling fast.
