'American Idol': David Archuleta as Dr. Seuss for Read Across America

Could "American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta be any cuter?

Tuesday, March 2 is the National Education Association's 13th annual Read Across America day. The NEA chose this particular date because it is Dr. Seuss's birthday.

David Archuleta is getting in the action, tweeting,"Today's Read Across America! Volunteer to help encourage kid to read books! Happy Birthday Dr. Suess! My favorite author as a kid!" and "Going to read at an elementary school! 4th grade classes haha :)."

Love the hat!!! David is one in a million!!!!

Awww... he is sooooo adorable!!!

He's so adorable!! He knows how to use his fame for the good. He is the purest soul I have ever seen.

There's nothing more adorable than David in that hat reading to a bunch of cute little grade school kids. They're precious!

David is such an awesome guy. I love being his fan. He makes me smile every day.

omg -I LUV HIM!!!

It's just too bad that more people don't get to see the kind of person David is. Its such a shame that everyone isn't aware of how special he is. And he's totally lovable.

David,Thanks so much for being apart of our celebration.. A great surprise for our students. You did really well, come back and read anytime.
You made their day..

sooooooooooo cute!

rosie,
I am sure David is happy when he does something to help out others. It doesn't matter if people see his good deeds or not. But his followers know all the little things he has done for others.

I read somewhere that even when he was younger, he helped rake leaves for his elderly neighbors, and planted flowers for his neighbor who was pregnant. I think he was born with two things in his blood: the gifted voice and caring heart for others.
