'American Idol': Crystal Bowersox returns, judges 'See the Light'
"American Idol" contestant Crystal Bowersox returned to the "Idol" stage on Wednesday (Mar. 3) night. Any lingering effects of the ailment that kept her from performing and caused the show to switch the boys and girls performance nights were completely concealed.
After last week's take on Alanis Morissette's "Hand in My Pocket" was not particularly well-received, Bowersox had a lot to prove. Up first amongst the Top 10 women, she came through with flying colors with Creedence Clearwater Revival's "As Long As I Can See the Light."
"That is pure, raw natural talent," judge Ellen DeGeneres enthused afterwards. "There's nothing forced, there's nothing pushed."
And offering even stronger praise, Simon Cowell told Bowersox that he had "completely misunderestimated" her and drew a "serious artist" comparison between her and Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson.
Now it just remains to be seen if "Idol" fans are willing to forgive her having an extra day to recover.

I peed in a horse once.
If what I'm reading is correct, then she didn't get an extra day for a cold or the flu, but something much more serious. In this case, I think giving her the extra day was the right thing to do. It's not like she missed the whole week's obligations and they still kept her around. I see nothing to forgive, and I am glad she is feeling better.
Off the subject here but, have you noticed that when Randy had something negative to say, he was BOOOOOO'ed horrendously. Then, Kara would follow him up with the same opinion, and crickets. Not a sound. That's just one example. And holy crap, they loved Ellen. I think those little girls with their braces need to be marched out of that audience and thrown off a cliff. They don't have the mental capacity to understand constructive criticism.

Randy needs to stop boooing Simon every single idol night upon introduction. It has gotten really OLD!
This really is good news for her and a bucket full of adrenalin. Being one of the top 10 girls is really a once in a lifetime chance and its but fair that they gave her another chance by making little adjustments here and there... after all it is not her fault.
Considering she lost a day to feeling sick, I think it's all fair. It's not like she really gained an extra day, though all the other girls did. I did feel bad for the guys, though, losing a day, but most of them did ok.
Wow! I had chills listening to this amazing artist. Waiting to hear more.
The judges have picked the winner -- no need to watch any more.
Producers agreed and put the "fix" in by rearranging the schedule....
Obviously Idol is again fixed and phony.
Hope this is its last year!
