'American Idol': Andrew Garcia, Alex Lambert, Lee Dewyze video fan message
Apparently there isn't a complete embargo on the "American Idol" contestants and the internet -- Andrew Garcia, Alex Lambert and Lee Dewyze have posted a fan message on YouTube. The three semi-final guys took to this video to thank the fans for all their love and support and then give the updated addresses of the MySpace, Facebook and Twitter accounts into which all the Idols previously-announced social media accounts were folded last week.
We doubt that the "Idol" powers that be just let these guys go rogue and put a video on YouTube, so it's interesting that these are the contestants they chose to feature in the video. The guys do need a little help against the strength of the women, but it's a bit surprising that Casey James and Michael Lynche aren't on the video. Do we now know which Idol guys the show really wants to succeed? Perhaps.
UPDATE: Apparently, Andrew, Alex and Lee were in fact going rogue by uploading this video, as it has now been removed. Luckily another fan downloaded it to her account and posted it, so we have replaced the original were that copy. Naughty, Andrew Garcia. Making your own promotional video is a big no-no.
Thank you to Joe's Place Blog for the tip on the video.

Obviously, this is just a plain video. I think you're overthinking it. Because if it was really well thought of Crystal Bowersox should be in there instead of Alex Lambert.
Andrea, they are doing this to PIMP themselves because they knew 1/2 wits that don't know the rules would post their video into google news.
But I guess some of the contestants need to cheat in order to get ahead. Also Idol producers already made them take it down, proving they were breaking the rules and it's not Idols doing. So this is a copy of it and all you're doing is making sure they get to cheat which discredits them. Nice work...
Good for them for taking that risk to let their fans know that they care about what we think. All three of them are really great in my opinion. So good for them.
I LOVE YOU ANDREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F..... LOVE YOU
All I want to know is how is it cheating for them to post a video THANKING THEIR FANS?? It wasn't like it was Andrew Garcia by himself who did it.
It's also way conspiracy theory and paranoid thinking to think that their main motive was to put that video up so it would cause controversy and be put in google news. It was a thank you video, a thank you video... I'll say that one more time, a thank you video to their fans.
He was with Lee and Alex. There was no content in the video except them just saying thank you. Don't get your panties in a bunch over that. Alex still went home. People's votes aren't going to be swayed by a thank you video and you're very naive to think that. I found the video to be very sweet. If they posted a video of them all singing a few songs together that'd be way different.
If you want to know why Andrew Garcia is getting votes, search for him on youtube, the guy is talented. Straight Up was one of MANY things he can do. He's just been steered in the wrong direction. Hopefully he will come back from that.
alex lambert should not have gone home, america made a big mistake.
I couldn't stand Kara previously but this season she is just obnoxious! Can't she sit where she is supposed o instead of Simon's lap! Is she afraid of Ellen or what! Get rid of Kara!
i love lee
