'American Idol': Alex Lambert sings 'Let Me Love You' on 'Ellen'
Ellen DeGeneres has been reunited with her ripened banana."American Idol" Top 24 contestant Alex Lambert stopped by the "Idol" judge's talk show to tape the special St. Patrick's Day episode airing Wednesday (March 17).
It's all really sweet: How he admits to horrible stage fright and how his mom made him audition.
And then Alex broke out Mario's "Let Me Love You," the song he had initially wanted to sing on "Idol" before he was talked into performing "Trouble" by Ray Lamontagne.
And we know how well that served him. Elimination. Gee, thanks, producers.
America, you kept Aaron Kelly over this?

I blamed his mom for rushing him to audition too soon. Adam lambert said that he was not ready in his early twenties so he waited last year to do it when he was definitely feeling it. Alex lambert should not push her soon too soon. he was not ready this year. he needs couple more years to buildup the confident and stage frieght. poor kid.. can i adopt him. LOVE Alex and his adorable beautiful face and unique voice.. looking forward to more music from Alex lambert

Sorry, Aaron Kelly is better than he is. Now if you would've said Tim Urban, then I might have agreed with you. But most of the contestants this year have been pretty underwhelming so far.
No, Alex is someone who should have been a front runner, and he is better than Aaaron Kelly, and most of the top 12 as well!
Alex was my favorite I was so upset he was eliminated...i like aaron kelly too he was great last night...tim urban needed to go since the day he came back
He was definitely one of the front-runners this season, BEFORE the Idol producers sabotaged him by suggesting the Ray LaMontagne song last week. I think it's fishy because I thought producers weren't allowed to suggest song choices to the contestants. The producers really messed him up! :-(
This guy should be in the top 12, and he is talented enough to be in the top 5! I hope he goes on to a successful music career. I would buy his CDs!
Alex is amazing and EVERY song he sings is beautiful. He always comes through with an outstanding performance. I wish Ellen would take a peek at the online petition to bring Alex Lambert back to Idol as the wild card. Thousands of us took the time out of our busy lives to sign!!!!! We love this kid and his unique sound is captivating. Some of us are tired of empty anthems delivered through high drama!!!!! Bring back authentic talent and higher quality music!!! Bring back Alex Lambert. Alex, stop apologizing! You were perfect and your confidence came shining through your music. Many thanks to your mom for getting you to share your music with your many fans!!!!! If Idol was smart, they'd include you on that tour!
Alex is so much better than most of the top 12 I can't believe that mexican dude even in the top 12 or that black chick whats wrong with America,or the people that vote shavon the bomb though!!
