Zap2it First: CW's 'High Society' ad campaign keeps it kind of classy
Tinsley Mortimer's -- socialite, author, fashion designer -- foray into the world of reality show television, "High Society" is on its way and judging from the initial clips it will be lots and lots of very rich people behaving very, very badly.
On the other hand, Zap2it has the first look at the first three pieces of key art and they're remarkably restrained considering the OMG, WTF?, Menage-a-Tuesday, hot and heavy teen vampires and naked model campaigns of the past.
For the most part.
All of the ads sport the tagline "You Can't Write This Stuff ..." and what we learn about Mortimer is that she has the same problems as many a gal, even the not-so-rich ones. Her mother wants her to settle down with a nice guy. It just so happens that nice guy is Mortimer's ex, but that's just details.
Event planner Malik So Chic shows off some rhinestone frames and a bowtie and makes us think The CW should do a joint campaign with Malik and his obvious role model, new "America's Next Top Model" judge Andre Leon Talley.
But then we get to Paul Johnson-Calderon. Tell us how you really feel, Paul.
Of course if he's referring to his former BFF Jules Kirby (they had a falling out when she accused him of stealing her Blackberry), who's already raised eyebrows with her declaration "I use the n-word sometimes," it might not be as harsh as it sounds.
"High Society" premieres Wednesday, March 10 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The last quote makes no sense. He wouldn't **** on a corpse that's dying? Corpses are already dead.
Travis raises a valid point. Paul is not only heartless, but also stupid.
BURNING, you idiot. He wouldn't lift a d**k to **** on a burning corpse.
GET IT?
Travis and I can read English, but apparently, G, you CANNOT. A corpse is defined by something that is already dead. If she were burning to death, that would imply that she is not dead yet, therefore, she is not a corpse (not until she is dead). So, to round this up, Reality idiot and yourself included, cannot **** on a living corpse, because there is no such thing.
That woman Tinsley Mortimer and her sister Dabney Mercer are to old for this cast ensemble. They should be out trying to pick pockets from men on The New York Housewives show.
Jay-
How can Tinsley be too old for a show that's about her? I'm not saying she SHOULD have a show, or that it's quality TV, but if the show is based on her life and the lives of others in her social circle, you can't really say she's too old for it.
The idea for what makes for real high society has forever been debased, the leaks, the scoops and the thoughtful observations of a comely lot are here kids...
