'Vampire Diaries': David Anders to do multi-episode arc
David Anders continues to do the TV rounds. The actor, known for his roles on "Alias," "Heroes" and, most recently, "24," will join The CW's "Vampire Diaries" in April for several episodes.
The network confirms that Anders will play Elena and Jeremy's uncle, Jonathan Gilbert, who's definitely going to be rocking the Mystic Falls boat a bit.

this show continues to impress me. I originally watched it to see if it was as bad as twilight but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The romance can be annoying but its not the only focus. The show always surprises me. Based on the past im guessing he will be dead after two episodes.
Good to have Anders back on TV ... as said before he should get his own show soon ...
I agree, Rob. I expected The Vampire Diaries to be completely awful, but it has been the most consistently entertaining show of the season. This is the icing on the cake for me!

The Vampire Diaries is shockingly good....especially considering the network it airs on. It has earned it's place in my house as "Must See TV." It gets better each and every week. I'm always enthralled by the show. Well done to all involved. As long as they stay away from the teen soap storylines, it'll continue to succeed. I can't wait for March 25th for the new episodes to resume. I wonder when the werewolf story lines are going to start. We already know who it is. I can't remember his name, but Jeremy and him do not get along. The guys dad(the mayor) tried to make Jeremy and him fight, but Alaric intervened. Then the guy punches Jeremy and Jeremy asked what the guys problem was and he just said "I don't know" as the camera panned to and closed in on a shot of a full moon. Exciting!
Agreed. I can't stomach Twilight but Diaries turned out to be pretty good. Its on my weekly watch list. Sort of my tame version of True Blood, while I wait for Season 3.
