TV ratings: Super Bowl on pace for a record audience
Fast National ratings for Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010Super Bowl XLIV could be on its way to record ratings. CBS says the metered-market ratings for the game are the highest since 1987, and the fast national numbers are a little ahead of last year's.
CBS drew a massive 80.5 million viewers and a 35.0 rating/54 share in primetime (the metered-market figure for the game itself is 46.4/68, up 10 percent over last year). No one else really competed, but the rest of the network numbers are: ABC (3.2 million, 2.0/3); FOX (2.5 million, 1.4/2); and NBC (1.7 million, 1.2/2).
More accurate numbers will be released later in the day. Look for a separate ratings post then.

I am wondering how seeing Modern Family re-runs beaten by Simpsons and Family Guy re-runs accounts for a good day for ABC...
Sad to see a great opportunity to promote something interesting wasted by CBS on a reality show. :(
Whatever Rena, check your eyes, the rating share of abc shows are greater. I will not let a cbs street teamer like you bully me.
How in the sam blue hell did CBS manage to become television's #1 NETWORK? Out of all shows to air after The Superbowl...
Undercover Trash? Really??? Seriously did anyone under 55 stay tuned in to watch that show?

CBS could have put their struggling wednesday comedies after the Super Bowl ,which would have made more sense then a bad reality show
Fox's death show "til Death" almost received the same viewership against the Super Bowl that it had against normal competition. Sad, sad, sad.
