Tom Welling, David Boreanaz, Neil Patrick Harris: Who is TV's best actor-director?
Allison Mack (Chloe) was the fearless leader behind this week's "Warrior" episode of "Smallville" and in honor of her return to the director's chair, KTV wants to ask you hardcore small screen fans -- who stay aware of what's going on behind the camera as well as in front of it -- which television regulars, who are still currently starring on their respective shows, really knock it out of the park when they're in control?
Had to narrow the pool down to network talent only, because the list is already long, but feel free to give cable guys like "Psych"'s James Roday and "Californication"'s David Duchovny their shout out in the comments section...
Did we leave anyone out?
Love to TV directors past can be commented below too. No, Zach Braff, we haven't forgot about you...

You left out Bailey (Or the actress who Plays her) on Grey's Anatomy.
Awww, shoot. Sorry Chandra!!
Will hang on to my vote till Matthew Grey Gubler's episode on Criminal Minds
Jennifer Love Hewitt is the sole star of Ghost Whisperer and also directed episode 413, 501 and the upcoming 100th episode 515.
sole star. he he. that sounds funny.
Holding out for Hugh! Everything he does he is so good at, I'm sure directing won't be an exception
David Boreanaz wins hands down!!! But Bethany Joy Galeotti and James Lafferty are also great!!!
I'm confused as to why Paul Johansson (Dan Scott on "One Tree Hill") wasn't included when Sophia Bush, James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti were included? Paul has directed multiple episodes (incl. 2 this season) and according to IMDB he is still part of the regular cast (I only watch the show on DVD so I wasn't sure if he was still a part of the permanent cast).
Really, why even write down David Duchovny and/or James Roday if you're not going to include them officially in the poll?
Of all of the shows you listed, I simply do not watch ANY of them.
I *do* watch, however ironically, "Californication" and "Psych." Both are underappreciated gems of actors AND shows.
Duchovny SHOULD get points for acting/writing/directing on "The X-Files" and a film of his own.
Roday has also acted/written/directed in other arenas as well, and he has written episodes of "Psych," too.
In other words, two actors, who are TRIPLE THREATS were left out!
At the very least, you should have put in an "Other" category for those of us who won't vote on anyone officially listed.
Duchovny should definitely be included. He has done an outstanding job in the X-Files, Californication, Bones and his own movie, House of D, which he also wrote. He also has the very positive compliments of the actors that have worked with him
