Taylor Lautner's 'Valentine's Day' gets 'New Year's' spinoff
Could Taylor Lautner romance Taylor Swift again? New Line is so in love with "Valentine's Day," it's renewing its vows ... for another movie. The studio has greenlighted a spinoff, "New Year's Eve" that will be set in New York City on New Year's Eve, reports Variety.
The trade paper says that "some of the same characters" from "Valentine's Day" will return for the spinoff. With such a huge ensemble cast, it's doubtful that everyone will be asked back.
So it's still uncertain whether "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner will return for an onscreen romance with his ex Taylor Swift. Considering their characters are so young and infatuated, who knows how long that screen relationship will last.
Director Garry Marshall is expected back though, as are screenwriter Katherine Fugate and producers Mike Karz and Wayne Rice.
If production goes according to plan, shooting will take place at the end of this year, with a projected release date in late 2011.
In the meantime, "Valentine's Day" will hit theaters beginning Friday, Feb. 12.

I liked that sequel the first time I saw it, when it was called "200 Cigarettes."
The movie isn't even out yet and already they're planning a spinoff/sequel?? That's jumping the gun just a little bit don't ya think?? I mean don't get me wrong, I think the movie will do well, but that's just kind of crazy.
