'Survivor': Host Jeff Probst returning for seasons 21 and 22

CBS has announced that Jeff Probst is returning for the next two season of "Survivor" (after the season premiering Thursday, Feb. 11).

If their current schedule of having both a spring and a fall installment holds, we won't see a new "Survivor" host until the fall 2011 season.

That is... if Jeff Probst decides to leave at that point. Probst said Tuesday (Feb. 9), "I am thrilled to continue working with [the] "Survivor" family for another year. Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn't have predicted we'd still be going strong 10 years later."

So maybe he won't hang up his torch-snuffer after 22 seasons. CBS certainly loves him. Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment says, "Jeff is a multi-faceted creative talent. On the screen he's a gifted and versatile host, and behind-the-scenes he's a smart and intuitive producer.  We look forward to him snuffing out more torches and whipping up new ideas next season."

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" premieres Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.

i hope for the last season of survivor they can at least bring some of te old players of survivor back like stephenie amanda eliza and ami.

I would love to see survivor go somewhere arctic. Of course, you won't have them in shorts and t-shirts but, it would be interesting to see games and environment coping in the ice and snow.
