The latest booted contestant on Zap2it's "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" countdown: Boston Rob.Disclaimer: No prior knowledge of the season, these are merely prediction posts.
Once the Villains gain the upper hand post-merge by voting off James, we think the remaining Heroes alliance of Colby-JT-Amanda will see which way the wind is blowing and mobilize. They'll win Immunity, giving one of their threesome safety and they'll work on Rupert and Courtney to get Rob out.
Why will Rupert go along with it? Because he's easily swayed. Rupert was fun to watch but wasn't exactly a master strategist. Why will Courtney go along with it? Because she butts heads with guys like Rob and she'll be easy to convince to vote him out. She will probably also feel on the outs of Russell's alliance with Danielle and Sandra.
Plus, Rob has been all over the reality TV landscape. He and his now-wife Amber finished 1-2 in "Survivor: All-Stars," had their wedding on TV and have been on "The Amazing Race" TWICE. He's become a total caricature of himself and we think the merged tribe will want to see him gone.

Hmmm. I'm not sure where you are getting that Rupert is easily swayed from considering he didn't waver from either of the alliances he originally made on Pearl Islands or All-Stars. He was very loyal both times. I would expect him to be a "tribal loyalty" kind of voter yet again rather than vacillating between alliances for two votes in a row.
The guy needs a life. . . you left out the other exposure of having their own show on Fox Reality. Amber was filming and working out with the same trainer I have. To me, Rob came across as this insecure puppy. . . he must have called her nearly a dozen times during her filming with the trainer. Without the reality TV, this guy would be another loser with a goofy accent.
I'm with John re Rupert. You need to go back to Pearl Islands and All Stars and study the way Rupert played the game.
The fact is none of us know how this will shake out yet, but this season is different than other seasons. Many of these players have already competed in this game twice, they are as close as you can get to "Professional Reality TV stars." So, how will they play? I'm guessing the smart play is to align with people who have stuck with their previous alliances. There is just no point in forming an alliance with someone who has been proven unreliable. That means a Rupert/Colby/JT alliance backstopped by two other "Heroes". I think the Heroes will go into the merge with greater numbers and will wipe out the villians tribe one by one.
That said, Rob will be one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, post-merge target. Rob may not be as strong as James, but Rob can swim, has excellent balance, is decent with the puzzles and has a track record showing sneakiness. Go back and watch the All Stars final episode and pay careful attention to how the Jury regarded Rob. Keep in mind that many/most of these contestants know each other outside of the game, having attended many of the same parties etc. Rob's reputation is going to kill him. Plus, Rob is a nasty jerk when talking to the camera, nobody likes being called names on national TV.
I agree with nisl. I think Rob goes before the merge on reputation alone.
