Super Bowl 2010: Carrie Underwood, Queen Latifah and The Who go for it
Queen Latifah kicked off Sunday's (Feb. 7) Super Bowl with "America the Beautiful," but things really got going when "American Idol" Carrie Underwood -- decked out in white-and-silver -- belted out the National Anthem. As we go head into another "Idol" Hollywood Week, we have to admit, sometimes America does get it right.
Meanwhile, The Who (you might know their work from all three "C.S.I." shows' theme songs) provided a serviceable halftime show. No wardrobe malfunctions here.

I'd have to disagree that Carrie's performance was that wonderful. A few pretty flat notes but at least she was singing live. Very few singers do that these days.
awesome carrie i am a mother of four your parents must be so proud of you way to go you couldnt have done better and you looked amazing.
Carrie was great and the half time show was AWESONE>>>>>>>
Carrie did a super job singing - awesome job, beautiful.
She messed up the last note...I dont think the overall performance was anything wonderful.
Great performance!
Wow! Queen Latifah is amazing!
Carrie's performance was not good. Off key, pitchy, she hit so many bad notes I lost count. She sounded terrible. I honestly don't know why she's such a "superstar."
She's not that great.
Was expecting better - a little screechy at times and too many sour/flat notes at the end. She looked great, however.
Wow, that was rather painful at times listening to Carrie's singing of the national anthem. Queen Latifah was much easier on the ear. Underwood is overrated in my opinion - my husband says she sounds too shrill.
