'Secret Life of the American Teenager' star Shailene Woodley to play George Clooney's daughter

The network confirms that Shailene Woodley, who stars as teenage mom Amy Jergens on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager", has landed a role in a film titled "The Descendants." 

Woodley will play George Clooney's daughter. 

Alexander Payne ("Election," "Sideways") will direct the film which is based on a novel about an attorney who becomes close with his family after the death of his wife.
