Pilots: 'Desperate Housewives' alums join new TV series
"Desperate Housewives" fans may miss Edie and Dave, but at least the actors who played them might be back on TV.Nicolette Sheridan and Neal McDonough have both signed on for new series pilots, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sheridan, who suffered an untimely demise on "Housewives," will go full-on comedic for CBS as a Hollywood stage mom to a teen starlet. When the daughter's British deadbeat father moves to LA to reconnect with his offspring, no doubt hilarity will ensue.
McDonough's series, "Scoundrels" on ABC, casts him as a petty scam artist who's been sent to prison for a long time. His wife, played by Virginia Madsen, is then left to put the family of criminals on the straight and narrow.
The show is based on "Outrageous Fortune," a dramedy from New Zealand.
