'Lost': Maggie Grace will return
The gang is just about all back together on "Lost."An ABC rep confirms to Zap2it that Maggie Grace will make a return appearance on the series in its final season (EW.com broke the news). She joins Dominic Monaghan, Harold Perrineau, Henry Ian Cusick, Cynthia Watros, Ian Somerhalder and Rebecca Mader in the ranks of former regulars who will pop up on the show's final season.
Grace is also the final adult member of the show's original cast to book a return appearance. Malcolm David Kelley, who played Walt early in the show's run, isn't yet scheduled to be back; executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have said in the past that they've struggled with how to work Kelley -- whose appearance changed considerably following a growth spurt -- into the show's timeline.
Grace's character, Shannon, was killed midway through season 2, although she appeared briefly in a season 3 episode that showed the series' events through two previously unknown characters' eyes. This season's sideways timeline has already allowed for the return of a couple other characters who died on the island, Shannon's brother Boone (Somerhalder) and Monaghan's Charlie.
There's no word yet on when Grace will first appear or how many episodes she's doing.

Best news EVER!!
Thank you for returning Maggie Grace!!! And thank you LOST producers!
This is the greatest show ever! Thanks for bringing back the cast. I hope Mr. Eko makes a return visit as well.
she's a nasty beyotch in person. i tried to ask for her autograph one time when she was out eating and she was the biggest C. my wish is they bring her character back just to kill shannon off.
Couldn't stand Shannon! I was happy when Maggie Grace couldn't come back at first!
I'm really annoyed about this whole Walt thing, though, since he was such a major part of the show at first.
I hope her part is small because I want more air time for the core characters. Too many questions to answer and so little time.
I love how people decide a celebrity is mean because they wouldn't drop everything they were doing to give an autograph. I'd probably act like a C too if some stranger was pestering me while I was trying to eat dinner... who asks for autographs anymore anyways?
Faith, you had a lot of nerve to even ask her for an autograph while she was eating. Celebrity or not, she deserves to eat in peace and not be pestered.
Pam, get over the Walt thing. Can you honestly see how stupid that would be if they put a grown teenager back into the role of Walt? It can't be done. It would probably be best to just leave him out.
I do want some resolution to the meaning of Walt's character. He had some supernatural characteristics that weren't explained. I think it's important that they tie up those ends. I don't care if it's the actual Walt or not--maybe a grown up version.
@tvv - I agree. I kind of wish they'd recast the the part.
Though no one prefers this, I just want the implications of Walt's significance to be explained. As much as I love LOST, the creators screwed this up. They should have forseen what would happen when you cast a 12 year old boy in a show like this (where they originally saw the show just going on forever).
I agree. Recast Walt. May be a slap in the face to the actor, but it's a slap in the face to the audience if the character's story is not concluded, and who, really, was a bigger part of the show's success? Malcolm David Kelley or the audience?
As for Maggie Grace being a big C? When I was little, I learned that "C" is for cookie, and what was it? Oh, yeah. That's good enough for me.
