'Bones': Creator Hart Hanson in the hot seat on a Booth-Brennan hook up
For nearly five years, "Bones" fans have been wondering if and when Booth and Brennan will finally hook up.
But in light of creator Hart Hanson's recent comments to KTV that the upcoming 100th episode "changes everything" and places "everything in a context," we got to thinking ...
What if the upcoming 100th episode flashback reveals that Booth and Brennan have already hooked up? Like, during their first case, a year before the pilot. Have we been asking the wrong questions about this pair all along?
"Well, you can never ask enough questions," Hart assured us when we posed this theory.
And then, as you'll see in the clip below, he fidgeted for a few seconds while deciding what to say next.
"You're asking me in the most blatant way anyone's asked, so I don't have a prepared answer," he shared. "This is what I would say to you: I think you should watch the episode and then ask me that question."
While we were slightly worried that this means the episode itself will be vague on what happened between Booth and Brennan all those years ago, Hart assured us that isn't the case.
"The 100th episode is not vague, there's no ambiguity to it," he promised. "What happened, happened. I'm not saying what [you think] happened, happened. I'm saying what happens in the show happened. If the fans are shrieking at me after this, well, then I just deserve it."
So the expectation is there will be shrieking after the episode?
"The goal is not shrieking," he said. "The goal is--no, I'm not going to tell you what the goal is... Really what I should say is just wait and watch. Just wait and watch, and then we can discuss it."
What do you guys think? Are we reading too much into things?

I don't think they hooked up back in their first case, unless you mean a sexless hookup. I remember in The Soccer Mom in the Van, when the older agent tells Booth "she must be really good in bed" and her response "yes I am, but Booth doesn't have direct knowledge of that". Of course, she could've been lying, but seems unlikely it'd never come up before. Especially with Booth being a prude every time she talks about sex, the time she asked him if he never laughed during sex, the role playing, things like that...
I'm gonna guess no hook up based on what he said, but it IS very interesting to think about! Oh I can't wait for the episode!!
If they have hooked up Brennan forget all about it. She has said booth does not know how good she is in bed.If HH uses this it a complete cheat.
The conclusion I've reached is that SOMETHING happened when they first met--not necessarily sex. Perhaps a kiss. I can't wait to find out, though. I'm sure it's juicy!
i dont think they have ever hooked up as in actually had sex.
1. there have been various instances where they have made note that they have never slept together.
2.in the christmas episdoe this year, brennan was acting as if she had never really gotten a good look at booth without a shirt before
3. booth is NOT the type to do one night stands we know this
4. it would be a retarded storyline because they are so worried abotu after they actually do it the fans will lose interest...if they have already done it and we didnt get to see then i would say some interest would def be lost
I really hope there wasn't a hook up. It would just kind of kill al of this tension we've been watching for the past 5 years. I remember reading an interview with Stephen Nathan I think where he said we would be surprised to see just how much B&B liked eachother when they first met. All this cryptic stuff from the production staff is driving me crazy! And there is still over a month until a new episode. Argh. Eitherway I'm sure it will be great.
Have we all forgotten that Booth could read people back in season 1. Would Booth be attracted to season 1 Brennan?
Yeah, I'm wondering if there was a kiss or attempted kiss. In the pilot, I believe Brennan called him condescending (I may have the wrong word). That's along the lines of arrogant (and COCKY! ha) so I'm wondering if he thought he sensed something and tried to plant one on her.

Booth WAS attracted by Season 1 Brennan (more so towards teh end of the season, but still attracted).
And Brennan was (and to some extents still is) socially awkward, not a monster or a serial killer.
I am curious to see what happened that left them so mad at each other.
They at least need to have Brennan actually realize, or admit to someone else the way Booth already has, to her feelings for him....She has never confronted it and/or fully realized her feelings, as in the episode where Booth is on painkillers talking to the female detective about Brennan's beautiful hair, etc and then when Brennan says something about him being protective of her and she doesn't know why the other female said "you really don't, do you?" She has just remained clueless and it would be nice to see her admitting her own feelings, maybe to Angela.....but actually getting them together, sorry guys, but it would ruin the show!
