'American Idol': 'Real Housewives' Jill Zarin doesn't miss Paula Abdul, Katy Perry's 'mean'
Ellen DeGeneres made her "American Idol" debut on Tuesday (Feb. 9) night and she already has at least one fan."I am really excited by Ellen, who I think is going to be just fantastic," "Real Housewives of New York" star Jill Zarin tells Zap2it.
While Jill is still holding out hope that Simon Cowell won't completely walk away from the "Idol" judges table in favor of the upcoming FOX show "The X Factor," she has come around on Paula Abdul's replacement, Kara DioGuardi.
"I like Kara a lot more this season. I was more on Team Paula last season, but I don't miss her now and I really thought I would. I like the rotating guest judges, some more than others.
"I was surprised that I liked Victoria Beckham, because I thought she would be snobby and bitchy, but she was actually quite classy and lovely and encouraging to the people.
"I also was surprised by Katy Perry, who was just so mean to those kids. She was just too tough, and she should be a role model to these aspiring singers."

I found Katy Perry to be totally un-likeable. Beautiful girl, but she seems to have a nasty streak that I found to be a real turn off. I really enjoyed Victoria Beckham. She is full of fun and very kind to the kids. Thought Ellen was good last night. She will be a delightful addition to the show. I'm confident she will do a nice mix of humour and serious judging.
Get rid of Ellen and Kara- they both are (very) wrong for the show. I wish Paula was still there. I cant bring myself to watch the show anymore. The show has lost its soul and chemistry
UGH!- AI is so dumb now! Fist the bring Kara in- big Mistake, then they push Adam Lambert down our throats because he is gay and we must be politically correct no matter how many times he screams through a song and now Ellen, I like her on her show, but this new gig is just not right for her or the us.
Bad, bad, bad move American Idol! the show is over- not very interested without Paula. Time to watch Biggest Loser instead
