Could "American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert be headed for the Academy Awards?Ryan Seacrest tweeted, "Talked to @annakendrick47..shes been buds w/ @adamlambert since 18. She might take him to oscars.."
Turns out Anna Kendrick told Seacrest on his radio show that she and Lambert "saw each other at party about a year ago and he told me, 'You can't tell anybody but I tried out for American Idol and I got through Hollywood Week.' I was like, 'Okay! You can't tell anybody but I just booked this movie with George Clooney!' We didn't see each other again for a year and finally we saw each other at the Critics' Choice Awards and the SAG Awards. We were like, you know, it's been quite a year for both of us."
Wouldn't that be a trip? Adam Lambert at the Oscars! Hey, if you don't have a date-date to take, a really fun friend is the next best thing.

True. If Anna didn't have a real date, date to go with I'd opt to hang with a buddy who you know would support you and could relate to you. From what I've read they have both been trying to get gigs and launch careers for 10 plus years. So they would totally relate to one another. Plus Adam appears to be one heck of a stand up guy so you know he'd have her back at this event. Smart choice is on Adam. If you know he is available.
Yeah, of course Adam would be a great date. But what if she already has a date? What is there is someone special in her life already that she would like to take? The press can't just assume there's no one else. Nothing like being put on the spot, no matter who it is!
RoRo, she volunteered the idea. It's a typical question for nominees - who are you taking? She could have answered the question with anyone - boyfriend, mom, etc. and she said Adam. No spot-putting involved.
In my opinion, we read this IN the news...I believe this was done so that it would obvously be IN the news. Pure publicity stunt!
Mo, she didn't volunteer the idea. Ryan Seacrest asked her if she'd invite him to attend the Oscars with her, and she said something to the effect that he's a great guy and a lot of fun. She didn't say she was going to invite him. She was indeed put on the spot, but it probably wouldn't have been an issue if Ryan hadn't subsequently tweeted that she might take Adam as her date - it was immediately picked up by every gossip site on the Internet, and now she'll have to explain if she takes somebody else. Ryan should have left well enough alone.

Anna, as a nominee, will be kept busy, so taking her friend Adam is smart. Adam is fun, quick- witted, fast-thinking,poised-he can handle himself when she is occupied.

Sure do hope that she takes Adam cause love to see him on t.v. and they make a good looking pair...friends are wonderful.....
