'American Idol' alums Chris Sligh, Phil Stacey record 'Come Together Now' for Haiti relief

chris-sligh-phil-stacey-haiti-2.jpgThe Christian music community, including "American Idol" alums Chris Sligh and Phil Stacey, has come together to record "Come Together Now" for Haiti relief.

Last Wednesday, Jan. 27, Christian artists gathered in Nashville to give of their time and talent to record "Come Together Now," a single whose proceeds all go to benefit organizations like the Red Cross and Samaritan's Purse.



Among the artists on the collaboration were Amy Grant, Lee Greenwood, the Oak Ridge Boys, Chris Sligh, Phil Stacey, Steven Curtis Chapman, Restless Heart and Wynonna. The song was written by Michael W. Smith, Cindy Morgan and David Mullen on Jan. 15 in response to the devastating earthquake.

The song will be available for download later this week.
