'American Idol': Adam Lambert chastises cell phone user at concert
Think it's rude when people use cell phones during concerts? So does "American Idol" Adam Lambert.Check out this hilarious video of Adam Lambert at his recent I Heart Radio concert in New York City.
During his set on Monday night (Feb. 15), Lambert stopped in the middle of "Whataya Want From Me" to admonish someone on their cell phone.
We love it. He wasn't mean about it, just like, "Really? I'm singing here."
Adam also recently appeared at a "Rock My Town" concert in New York City, put on by Ryan Seacrest. He was the middle set between "Idol" finalists Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen, but all three closed the show with a wild rendition of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy."

I was there last night, the best part was when he told the one girl in the audience to turn off her cell phone lol. "This is a live show not tv s" check it out:
He rules!!!

She paid to be there. She can do whatever she wants. Lambert is a douche.
i luuuuuvvvvvvvvvvvvv it!
No, Kevin, no one paid to be there. Everyone there won the right from the radio station to be there.
FYI, Kevin, learn the facts before opening your big, fat mouth. Adam's performances were being recorded for professional use by the same radio station who invited Ms. Rude to be there. The least she could've done was show some respect to them, Adam and people who were trying to listen.
Darn, I could've had that spot.
I too was there, and they were taping Adam's song for rebroadcast. He was entirely correct in stopping and asking her politely to stop yelling into her cell phone. We applauded him. Even if her intentions were good at letting someone listen to Adam sing, she should not have talked to them. No one paid to get into this concert and respect should have been paid to Adam and the band, the people who sponsored the tkts and to those Adam fans standing and listening around her. Hopefully she will not make the same mistake again. The third take of WWFM is breathtakingly gorgeous. Adam is the best, especially "unzipped"!!!!!!!
Even before Adam mentions it, I heard the girl's voice, talking loudly on the phone. And if it were a paid concert, yes, the person would have paid to been there, but so would have everyone else and they deserve to hear Adam singing, not someone chatting loudly on a phone, and enjoy the music.
Next thing you know, a la Morrissey, they'll be throwing things at him. That would seem to indicate caring among his concert-goers anyway, something that talking on the phone would seem not to.
He's trying to second guess someone's intentions and stopping the entire concert because of it. Yes, it can be rude to be on a phone, But, she was no louder than the rest of the laughing, yelling, noise making guests without cell phones. So it was stupid to do that. But Adam has made a lot of poor choices lately. What if she has said, "My mom just died!" and left? He doesn't know. Maybe she should have said that, lol. Also his singing was terrible and not worth recording. -- Don't get me wrong. I voted for him and he's better than other idols while ON IDOL, but he was just horrible here. Now THAT is an honest comment and took guts to write. Bash all you like. At least I'm not a blind, fanboy follower.
Bravo Adam! Some cell phone users are so rude and have no respect for people around them. In this case, she was acting like she was in a bar, instead of being invited to an intimate concert.
Some of you Adam haters have to always say something against him, no matter what.
WHO leaves their phone on during a concert or movie?? I certainly don't. I for one don't want to be bothered by anyone calling me, I want to sit and enjoy the concert or movie. Like someone else here responded, if you want to let someone at home hear the song at the concert... just dial, let them hear and DON'T speak/yell/talk on the phone.
