Your one-stop shop for the final season of 'Lost'

emilie-de-ravin-lost-s6-320-3.jpgHey, "Lost" fans are just like everyone else: they're insanely busy. I get it. In that crazy little thing called life, it's easy to forget a thing or two. Heck, you might forget that you've forgotten it. A double whammy, that. Well, I can't fix everything in your life, but I can provide at least one thing that should help you out: a one-stop shop for everything you need going into Season 6 of "Lost."

But before we start: Maureen Ryan from the Chicago Tribune is not only an excellent TV critic, and not only just finished transcribing an epic, entertaining interview with Damon Lindelof and Cartlon Cuse...but she's helping to raise money for Haitian relief. She's asked me to pass on the message, and a link to how you can help contribute. Every dollar counts, and there's even some "Lost"-related swag potentially available for those that donate. So please stop by and lend a hand. Every dollar counts.

Now, onto the task at hand today: links to every gallery, series, and set of articles that will put you in the proper state of mind for the final leg of the "Lost" journey. Along with yesterday's entry, they represent the full scope of the best Zap2it has to offer to fans of the show heading into the final season of the show. With the full support of the staff here at Zap2it, I've tried my best to give you more than your fair share of insight, speculation, and (hopefully) humor. What you've given me back is one of the best communities online, providing both feedback and a drive to continually improve my craft to meet the energy and enthusiasm that you've put forth. This collection of content would not be possible without you.

So, thanks, and, of course...namaste.

The "We Have to Go Back" Gallery

If I were Stephen King, this would be my "Dark Tower." It's a lengthy, in-depth, and completely original take on every...single...episode...ever. I don't just break down what happened in each episode; I put them in the context of the series as a whole. Along the way, I looked at character arcs, mythological developments, and made more 80's references than any other "Lost" blogger in history. You're welcome. So wake me up before you go-go to that gallery.

The "Light vs. Dark" Series

"The Incident" pulled back the curtain on two heavyweights in the "Lost" universe: Jacob and The Man in Black. This series looks at crucial and heretofore mysterious moments in the show's history to see if one of these two figures might have had a hand in it. You might be surprised to see how heavily they've been involved from the outset.

The "Six in Six" Series

This series looks ahead to Season 6, looking at various things we can expect, hope to avoid, and desperately want to experience in the show's final season. Speculation ahoy!

The Top 25 Moments in "Lost" History

The Top 25 "Lost" Quotes

The Top 25 "Lost" Characters

Three galleries, seventy-five entries, and an unlimited source of water-cooler discussion. There's something for everyone there, from the casual fan to the one that knows Frogurt's middle name. Dive in!

Underappreciated "Lost" Theatre

This series looks at episodes otherwise neglected. It's not that people dislike these episodes; it's simply that they get overlooked when talking about seminal moments, hidden clues, and underrated greatness. The highs of "Lost" are so high that it's easy to sometimes take the show for granted. This series seeks to correct it. Episodes included are:

Tricia Tanaka is Dead

S.O.S.

Live Together, Die Alone

Outlaws

Do No Harm

Something Nice Back Home

So, enjoy those links during the final weekend before Season 6 starts!

LOST is so good.

"We have to go back" is what introduced me to your blog. It was an awesome way to catch up. I've been hooked ever since. Thank you Ryan and Namaste

This show is awesome.

What??? No BTRWRTH link???

Biggest P.O.S series ever

I've been reading your posts for almost two years now, and I think they're very insightful. Thank you so much for all the info, Ryan, because it makes me scratch my head and wonder what I might've missed.

I decided to post now because I found something I didn't catch before, and I don't remember seeing it in any of your posts. (I might've missed it, though, so please forgive me.)

I've been re-watching all five of the season finales today, and I got to the scene where Desmond meets Libby. She mentions her husband, David, died a month ago, and she offers Desmond her boat because it's what he would want. So here's my question: is "David" really "Dave"? It just seems so coincidental that Libby and Hurley were in the same mental institution, and Hurley had an imaginary friend in said mental instituion when Libby was there. Something from the Man in Black, perhaps? Or maybe not. I hope I'm not way off-base here, but I just wanted to point that out.

I was just re-reading your "Underappreciated Lost Theater" list and found this episode on there, along with "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead", one of my other favorite episodes. The sheer joy in TTID is what takes me back to it again and again.

Namaste.

Well, Doc Arzt and now Zap2It have gone and made the opening scene of S6 available (until it gets pulled from YouTube).

Bad form, I say. It's not about the spoilers so much as it is pandering for a scoop.

No, hell, it IS about the spoilers, darn it!

Can people not wait 3 more measly days and a handful of hours? You've waited more than 8 months. Why watch the last premiere you'll ever see of your favorite TV show on a crappy low-res, watermarked YouTube bootleg?

Well, I guess it's time to stay off the internet until Tuesday night (shouldn't be too hard, the kids never let me on anyway...)!

I've bookmarked Ryan's page specifically to avoid the front Zap2It page, which seems to do this kind of stuff on an all too regular basis. Arzt and UFO and even Jensen are now verboten until Wednesday!

Bookmarking this site's always a good way to ensure you don't see anything spoiler-y. I'm thinking of adding a tagline to my blog: "Proudly Ignorant Since 2004!" I'm not gonna slag anyone who posts it or watches it, but for those who don't wanna see it (or anything spoilery), you're in Safe Haven here.

Even though it doesn't make much logical sense that Libby's husband would be imaginary (or does it?), part of me is drawn to Deann's theory anyway.

Speaking of "one stop shopping", here are some other recent comments that intrigued me:

Lee: "Is Richard's latin response to Illana's question the worst piece of looped dialog ever in this series?"

YES!!!

BRIGUYX: Not a question, but watching the repeat of "The Incident" tonight, I noticed something interesting... Jacob touched Ben as he died, which might have done to Ben whatever was done to the other characters in the flashbacks..."

I think you may be onto something here -- well done!

CLUEGIRL: "as 'concerned' stated above, i know the captions are not canon but i also found it interesting that it dismissed Jack's reason for the bomb as an expedient explanation (and not the real reason). i for one am happy to get confirmation about this as that's how i originally felt about it, and recall advocating that point at the time. so what ultimately did the majority believe about that scene; was tonight a revelation?"

Glad someone else had the same reaction as I did! I guess we'll have to wait until well into S6 to find out for sure... but in the meantime it's sure interesting to note that this may turn out to be the only time in LOST history that, instead of ruining a good moment, a pop-up actually eased the pain of what initially appeared to be a very bad (poorly written) moment!

P.S. I'm still looking for confirmation that Juliet (in her profound upsetness) stuck an "and" into the middle of "live together, die alone". Can I get a witness, anyone?
