Uhmm.. MP was a re run.. And LOST is a great show..but will be lucky to get 10 mil..

I LOVE LOST, but it will in no way shape or form put a dent in IDOL...it will be a TREAT, but not a THREAT.

Was ABC even trying last night? It was like they werent even on. Looks like they just gave up on Tuesdays. Hopefully next week Lost will bail them out a little...maybe they can come in third or something!

NCIS was great last night, it almost beat the lame idol. No doubt somthing happened between Tony and Ziva.

(1) The fact that a "Lost" repeat bested two comedies that are being burned-off is no great achievement.

(2) Madonna is fifty years old. I'm not certain of Ms. Locklear's age, but I know that it's closer to fifty than forty. I will agree that both ladies have kept themselves in great shape.

(3) The "NCIS" shop continues to be the most effective defense against "American Idol" that any network has yet devised. It's great that there can be two popular shows on at the same time serving different audiences.

Sorry, never watched NCIS. This will probably be the last year I watch Idol anyway. Simon made the show and the singers. NCIS won't beat Idol this year but watch out next year. We will see how it does against Xfactor and then Idol.

Idol has to be worried they are already losing viewers and Simon hasn't even left yet!!!!

The WB & UPN merged because neither network was doing very well ... time to bring out the merger table, add a chair and have ABC, NBC and the CW sit down to talk ... perhaps they might be able to manage to score a solid 3rd place ... in a 3 way race ... Welcome to the New BUWANBCPCNB ... we're #3, we're #3, we're #3

why do people who post on this forum have such a difficult time spelling? It makes it ultra difficult to read!

Chuck me, Chuck.

I'm not worried about NCIS. While Idol has the reputation as a show-killer, NCIS seems to be one of the only shows capable of holding its own against Idol, and generating numbers above 20 million. I'm not worried about NCIS at all. And frankly I think the Idol bubble, while not exactly burst, is starting to show signs of weakness. The celebrity judge aspect is a sign of this desperation, where in the past the Randy-Paula-Simon trio was all that was needed to generate 30 million viewers. And once Simon moves on, I think a lot of people will lose interest in Idol unless they do something weird like replace him with Gene Simmons or something.
