The People's Choice Awards helped CBS score a ratings win Wednesday night, while NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" and ABC's comedies had decent showings as well.

Make that ABC's half-hour comedies. The move of "Ugly Betty" to Wednesdays didn't give a boost to the show.

CBS averaged 10 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night. NBC (7.8 million, 5.1/8) came in second, a little ahead of ABC (7.3 million, 4.6/7). Reruns on FOX (3.4 million, 2.2/3) and The CW (691,000, 0.5/1) were at the back of the pack.

CBS also led among adults 18-49 with a 3.2 rating, beating out ABC's 2.6. NBC came in third in the demographic with a 2.1, followed by FOX, 1.3, and The CW, 0.3.

I would imagine that some people that watch "Ugly Betty" were watching "The People's Choice Awards". Most of Betty's audience is female and awards shows are big with females (as for me, I recorded TPCA and watched Betty ... not that it matters, because I knew everyone who won before I went to sleep last night).

This may be the beginning of the end for Betty.
How do you lose 3-5 million viewers, from Modern Family/Cougar Town, the best comedy hour on TV!?!?

**** cbs. the only ppl in the audience were the winners. they think were that dumb? why bother have a show? and they know were only watching for adam lambert, a category which they missed. **** them

It's a little too early to judge how Betty will do since it went up a pretty popular award show. I like that it's not on Friday anymore since it will be easier for me to watch it now.

The Jay Leno Show has now beaten The Forgotten and Ugly Betty and back to back nights. That should spell a one way ticket to cancellation for both of them if that doesn't pick up. Hows that taste ABC?

Ugly Betty Sucks that's why it is doing no better...at least Eastwick was fun and was starting to get good...but alas ABC is like FOX anymore...quick to cancel the good stuff and keeps the crappy stuff around...Poor Better Off Ted will be next since they are treating it poorly!

Fox Business is reporting the NBC is in meetings right now to cancel Jay Leno. Thank god. They better move L&O SVU back to 10pm on Tuesday.

Jay Lamo beating Betty is like the St. Louis Rams beating the Detroit Lions; they both suck, but one just sucks a little less.

Furious Eastwick fans who once upon a time did watch Ugly Betty will NOT watch it anymore.

WOW, ugly betty is just as ugly on wednesday as it is on fridays, looks like a death watch for ugly betty. Poor ABC with such bad shows like ugly betty, better off ted, scrubs, V ,hank, cougar town, its amazing this network is still on the air.
