TV Ratings: CBS comedies win, 'Bachelor' scandal does well

big-bang-theory-cast.jpgThe comedy lineup powered CBS to a win and a contestant scandal gave "The Bachelor" a slight boost over the premiere.

The all-important 18-49 demo tuned in big for "House" with a 4.6/12 households, then turned its attention to CBS. "Chuck" had a decent showing, staying right in line with its premiere from Sunday night.

Monday hour by hour:

8 p.m.

FOX:
"House" (12.2 million viewers, 7.3/11 households)
ABC: "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" (9.9 million, 6.6/10)
CBS: "How I Met Your Mother" (9.8 million, 6.0/9)/"Accidentally on Purpose" (8.5 million, 5.2/8)
NBC: "Chuck" (7.3 million, 4.3/7)
The CW: "One Tree Hill" rerun (1.2 million, 0.8/1)

18-49 leader: "House" (4.6)

9 p.m.

CBS: "Two and a Half Men" (17 million, 10.2/15)/"The Big Bang Theory" (15.8 million, 9.3/14)
ABC: "The Bachelor" (11 million, 7.4/11)
FOX: "Fringe" (7.8 million, 4.7/7)
NBC: "Heroes" (4.7 million, 2.9/4)
The CW: "Gossip Girl" rerun (742K, 0.5/1)

18-49 leader: "Two and a Half Men"/"Big Bang Theory" (5.5)

10 p.m.

CBS: "CSI: Miami" (14 million, 8.7/15)
ABC: "Castle" (9.4 million, 6.3/11)
NBC: "The Jay Leno Show" (4.8 million, 3.1/5)

18-49 leader:
"CSI: Miami" (3.7)

UPDATE: We mistakenly put that a "House" rerun aired at the 9 pm hour on FOX. It has been amended to reflect the episode of "Fringe" that actually aired. We apologize for the error, the email we received with the ratings was incorrect.

Ratings information includes live and same-day DVR viewing. All numbers are preliminary and subject to change, especially in the case of live telecasts. Source: The Nielsen Company.

Are those accurate, because I had Fringe on my Fox station at 9pm...this is saying House was on

Why does it say a House repeat was on, as I just watched the new episode of Fringe this morning? LOL

At least Chuck is holding steady with its ratings from last night. Also, it was the highest rated show on NBC last night, higher than the probably renewed Heroes. I am going to remain cautiously optimistic for Chuck.

Yeah, Fringe was on for me too...

Good to see Castle doing well. Its great to see Chuck maintain consistency too. Saying that those ratings are bad is ridiculous.

Sorry, gang. The email with the ratings listed "House" rerun as being on and as I was recapping "The Bachelor" (and "Fringe" is on on Thursdays normally) I didn't think anything was wrong.

My apologies. I fixed the post.

Reality programming has two purposes, one to save money and two, to target the ever increasing population of morons, who don't have the brain cells needed to follow an actual plot from a real TV show. The sad pathetic people of the world are just greater in number these days, but eventually reality stupidity will die down, because even those morons with very few brain cells will tire of watching the same exact show year in and year out, shows that are not real in any way and are all scripted in their own way, just in a way that stupid people can grasp.

I haven't watched Chuck or TBBT yet I decided to go with the 100 episode of HIMYM and Fringe. HIMYM was a big disappointment for it being a milestone episode and Fringe just made me hate the FOX executives even more why air an old unaired episode from last season it made no sense at all.

Great showing for Chuck as far as NBC goes! If they do wind up bagging this show, it will pretty much seal their fate as being the biggest bunch of jackasses in TV executive history!

CHUCK did very well last night, no doubt NBC will keep it around.

CHUCK!!!!!
