Interesting night of television where Fox has a one two punch with Bones and Fringe.

Poor ABC seems a rerun of Greys Anatomy couldnt do much and worse Private Practice was beaten by LENO...wow..that is embarassing. They better hope LOST can help on tuesday, but against American Idol and the CBS powerhouse lineup, I doubt it!

Fringe got a 8.9 million viewers that has to the most they have received in a long time usually its around 6 or 7 million. Not sure how accurate this rating system is but if Fringe keeps those numbers it should get renewed(which is all I care about)!!!!

Tim
get a life and stop advertising your stupid DVDS.. Is there a moderator on this website?

Go Vampire Diaries! It may put NBC in last place soon!!!

Tim is a human bot, which is more annoying than a computer bot, because you can send a nasty code to the originator of the computer bot and destroy their hard drive, but you're not allowed to shoot Tim and cretins like Tim in the head. Something non-karmaic in that...

Nice to see the high ratings for FOX, which needs all the good news it can get. Fringe will likely get renewed as long as there is enough viewer interest, since it does have a strong fan base, even if the numbers are not where FOX would likely want them to be. These days, FOX is probably happy that anything outside of American Idol and House can beat their competition.

And it would be nice if people would stop mentioning the cat noise...every time somebody says its name, it shows up. Cut it out, can't ya?

Oh, and there aren'tt any real moderators on this site anymore, for you who wondered about it? Zap2It is now run by folks who aren't interested in a professional website anymore, hence the Timmy bots and cat noise. Pity, because Zap2It used to be great. Now it's like an old Stuckey's at the side of the interstate, stale pecan logs and all.

That's a pretty meager Thursday for what used to be the most-watched night.

The Mentalist did great in its re-run, which augurs well for its future.

On the other hand, Private Practice is pulling a Lost and not re-running well at all.

Great numbers for Bones. I don't remember it being rated that high in quite some time.

Fringe is riding on its lead-in, which may be enough for FOX but shouldn't, as Fringe has shown it has very little draw on its own (but keep heart dgh - FOX isn't known for its business-savvy decisions :) )

About Lost, it should have a bump thanks to the huge marketing campaign ABC lavished on it (since we didn't get the Wednesday report, I'll have to wait for the weekly chart in Variety) and will likely slide back down from it.

It's just sad that ABC is choosing to hype a departing show instead of concentrating on crating new hits (it's not like they've been all that successful with it this year in spite of renewing failing shows).

Re:Woof. Private Practice was a rerun, so if Leno beat it, no one really cares. The fact the rerun came within 2 points of beating Leno, however, shows that - regardless what happens with Tonight - NBC is making a good call in cancelling that show.

Rena like I always say as long as it get renewed I could care less if the masses watch it. Just because you think a show needs 20 million viewers or its a failure and should be canceled is idiotic at best and the reason I can't take you or your post seriously.

Rick - you're wrong, dude. ABC and CBS at 8pm were NOT reruns. So, in essence, BONES won on its own merit - kudoos..!! Am surprised with the ratings - If Vampire Diaries is soooo Hot, why is CW not higher on the chart..??
My feeling is that Private Practice will not see another season - sad that Jay Leno could beat it. He beat Ugly Betty, too - and voila, it's cancelled. And who says Jay Leno is good for nothing... His show is only doomed 'cause it's on every single night at 10pm - that was predictable - only people who didn't know this is NBC apparently.

@dgh: Sorry to have taken YOU seriously. :(

Clearly you are yet another "trufan" who only wants to read hype about "his" show. :(

This is a blog about ratings. The fact that you don't want to hear "your" show isn't doing well (perhaps because you're afraid someone may read my posts and decide to look at actual numbers instead of PR spin ;) ) doesn't make this any less of a ratings board.

But it does make this board a little sadder to see people like you resort to insults to try and prevent honest discussion. :(
