TNT picks up 'Men of a Certain Age'
"Men of a Certain Age" will get a chance to grow a little older on TNT.The cable network ordered a second season of Ray Romano's dramedy on Thursday (Jan. 14). It's likely to be on the air late this year.
"'Men of a Certain Age' has been embraced by viewers and critics alike, making our decision to renew an easy one," says Michael Wright, Turner's head of programming. "We look forward to continuing our wonderful relationship with everyone involved."
The series has averaged a fairly healthy 4.4 million viewers per episode since its December premiere. Critics were also generally positive about the show, which stars Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula as long-time friends dealing with the various indignities and small triumphs of middle age.
Romano also co-created "Men of a Certain Age" with "Everybody Loves Raymond" writer-producer Mike Royce.
