'Stargate's' Jason Momoa wins 'Conan' battle
Sorry "Twilight" fans, but Kellan Lutz won't be your barbarian after all.The "Conan the Barbarian" reboot role goes to Jason Momoa of "Stargate: Atlantis" fame, reports Variety.
The character written by Robert E. Howard was first popularized on the big screen by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Momoa, 30, is best known as Ronon Dex on "Stargate: Atlantis" and has been cast in the HBO adaptation of the popular "Game of Thrones" books.
Marcus Nispel directs. Production is slated to start in March in Bulgaria.

It is not a fact that Jason is black-he is not. I agree with l'il pup-very nice choice. Jason is very handsome and he is a superb actor. Congrats, Jason-it will be great to see you in action again. I've missed you!
He's not black. He's half-Hawaiian and half-white. I'm sure Conan won't have the dreads and the beard. Google some pix of Jason from his Baywatch days. He's pretty much perfect for this role.
Jason's the best choice, as far as I'm concerned. For one thing, he knows how to do fight scenes. Check out the "Midway" episode of "Stargate Atlantis." Whoa!
Jason Momoa is not black, he's actually Hawaiian/American. As for him being Conan! WAY TO GO, JASON!!! GOOD ON YOU, MAN!!! For those that are SGA fans, you should know that Rodney called Ronon "Conan" at times. So I say good for Momoa!
Ths is bullsh**! That guy does not even close to what I would of wanted for this characters role. Kellan would of been much better!!! I for one will not see this movie if this is who they choose. LOOSERS!!!
