Simon Cowell signs Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart and Michael Buble for Haiti single

simoncowell-320.jpgSimon Cowell has started lining up stars for his Haiti relief single.

The BBC is reporting that Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart and Michael Buble are on board, while Robbie Williams, Coldplay, Take That and Sir Paul McCartney have also been approached.

Apparently the single will be a cover of REM's 1993 single "Everybody Hurts" and according to Simon Cowell's initial news, will be released within the next fortnight.

We think it could shape up to be a great single. We would wager the sales will do well even if the song isn't that great because all the proceeds are going to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Friday, Jan. 22 is the nationwide telethon "Hope for Haiti Now," airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on almost every channel.

Oh man Simon should have Adam Lambert sing on this he'd kill that song!

ROD STEWART IS THE JESUS CHRIST OF ROCK N ROLL

Oh god. Now they're making songs for them? Why don't we just invite the rest of them into our country, they'll be here sooner or later. Nothing on TV tonight because if this crap. **** Haiti!

You are a horrible person. People have died and some more are dying and you think that's crap? I wish you go through the same experience as they did and let's see if you'll still think that is crap.

Hey, maybe Tony should be with "Pretty Boy" Scott Brown and all the right wing G.O.P and "Hippo Limbaugh"
